The Beatles are Coming
Last year when Tula Pink came to town, my Dad joked that to hear me talk, the Beatles were coming! Well...THE BEATLES ARE COMING AGAIN!! Melody Miller, fabric designer extraordinaire, is coming to Winston! I know...I still can't believe it either. I love her designs and the fact that they're printed by KOKKA on glorious linen/cotton blend is just the icing on the cake. Here's a peak at some of my coveted MM stash.
The TMQG and The Little General are co-sponsors of Melody's visit. And we have a whirlwind of activity planned for her!Tuesday, February 19, 1-4: Book Signing at The Little GeneralGina has plenty of copies of Ruby Star Wrapping on hand if you haven't already snapped it up. This book is great for a million reasons, not the least of which is Melody's ability to incorporate her vintage style into projects! You're going to NEED to get this book:) If you're not local, there will probably be a giveaway soon that you'll want to watch for. Wink. Wink.Tuesday, February 19, 6:30: Speaking at the TMQGMelody will be showing lots of designs and sharing all about her fabric designing amazingness! The Triad Modern Quilt Guild meets at Christ Church in Ardmore. It's the corner of Melrose and Queen. Please email me to reserve your seat! I've been obsessed with making it since I saw the book; I might have "influenced" the project selection for the class:) And time permitting, we are going to make an apron as well! There is a spot left, so if you're interested, email or call Gina to sign up! littlegeneralsesigns at gmail dot comI'm beyond excited for Melody to get here! If you're local, you'll definitely want to join in the fun!!xo LC
