Barn Quilt Victory!!
I won second place in the ACCUQUILT BARN QUILT DESIGN COMPETITION!! I'm so excited! And still a little in shock... I've known for a week now and I've been bursting to share the news! I'm not known for my secret keeping capabilities either. This is my design.
Naturally I had to celebrate by making a quilt! Since my design is based on my Designer Star pattern, I decided to make my design into a quilt!
And I wanted to rewrite the pattern to be AccuQuilt friendly! It was quite simple to rework. And so easy to make.
I cut it all out in about 30 minutes!
And this was my waste. Pretty minimal!
Here a few more shots of the quilt! I'm still working on my FMQ; this year's resolution is coming right along.
The AccuQuilt friendly pattern will be available very soon! It finishes 48"x48" and uses two dies (55001 & 55000). I also used a strip cutting die to make my binding:)I cannot wait to head to Nebraska for the unveiling event in June! I look forward to meeting Sue, the Grand Prize winner. Her design is beautiful! Congratulations Sue!!
I'm now a little barn quilt obsessed!xo LC
