From Taffys to Stars
I've been teaching lots this past week! Last Saturday was the Taffy Quilt class at Sewingly Yours. Taffy is a great pattern by Jaybird Quilts.
Color and value choices are really important for this quilt and everyone did a great job! Annette is using bright Amy Butler prints. I love her fussy cut centers!!
Susan is making a lovely Christmas version!
And Belva was inspired by the colors of the pattern cover. It's gorgeous!!
Sue is also doing a Christmas version. Her color choices are perfect!!
And The Guru! She is making this quilt for me!! Lucky me!!! I helped her shop in my stash for this one. Mom made the center square. Everyone else made the upper left square.
And Jane! She's making a baby quilt with pretty teals and pinks.
Jane is a rockstar!! She's already done with the top! Beautiful!!
And Sunday was the Scrappy Star class at Sew Original. We are making the Stars in Your Eyes Quilt from Sarah Fielke's Quilting from Little Things. Shirley is making a quilt for her grandsons!
Denise is using Denyse Schmidt. It's going to be gorgeous!!
I love the spotted background. And doesn't her quilt block have adorable shoes?!
Gail is cruising through finishing up all those Y seams!
Shanna & Jo did a private pillow making class. They like this one that I had made for my friend Karen.
And finally the Color Theory class at Studio Stitch! These was a really fun group!! We had a blast!!! We are using a free paper pieced pattern from Six White Horses.
Kathy is using batiks for the centers with solids around the edges. It's going to be pretty!
Susan is using all solids! She did a great job with arranging her colors.
And Karen! She's also using batiks for the middles.
And Marsha! She's also doing solids all around. Pretty! Pretty!!
Kristine is also doing all solids. She arranged them and rearranged them. They're perfect!!
Sarah is also going with all solids. She's using a great tone on tone fabric for the background.
So many great students and so any fun classes. I'm scheduling for next quarter right now so there will be a new schedule out soon!xo LC
