City Sampler Progress

While my group of City Samplerers at The Little General is all finished with their blocks, the group at Sew Original is nearing the 2/3 mark! Shirley's blocks are grand! Check out that fussy cut froggie!!

20140628-105801-39481571.jpgDenise's rainbow of colors are gorgeous!! She's using the colors from the book as inspiration and it's really making her blocks colorful.

20140628-105802-39482604.jpgCydney's blocks are coming along so well! The block in the upper right is one of my favorites that I've seen. She used a blender with a busy print and it gave the block a whole new look. I really love it!!

20140628-105801-39481225.jpgThe Guru is cruising along on her second quilt! (I think she's as relieved as I am to be done with the first quilt and working on just this one!) Her blocks are so cheerful, which makes sense as she's calling this her "Happiness Project".

20140628-105801-39481976.jpgI've started two new classes at Studio Stitch. We are already having a blast!! BeJay is such a fun student; she's taken a few of my classes before. She's doing her blocks entirely out of bright polka dots! It's adorable!!

20140628-110247-39767446.jpgDianne has quite the Tula stash!! And you know I take Tula fabric pretty seriously. Her blocks are wonderful. Look at that frog! Swoon.

20140628-110247-39767773.jpgCathy has chosen some homespuns to make this for her son. It's interesting because she's usually all about the brights, but I love seeing the blocks in a more reserved palette And she's doing fabulous at making sure there's enough contrast!

20140628-110248-39768072.jpgJerrie is making her quilt to go in her bedroom so she's using that palette as her inspiration. We found some great fabrics for fussy cutting and her blocks look awesome!

20140628-110505-39905219.jpgRegina chose a great palette! (I might have helped!) I love the block in the upper left where she used the same fabric in two color ways. It's perfect!!

20140628-110505-39905519.jpgHeather is using batiks!! I can't believe it took this long for someone to do that in my City Sampler classes. They're so bright and beautiful!

20140628-110504-39904914.jpgPaula is using all Tula and I love it!! Her blocks look great; she did some awesome fussy cutting!

20140628-110804-40084234.jpgEmily is a gal after my own heart! She's using all Denyse Schmidt from a few different lines. There are some great blenders in there and she's added solids. Love them!!

20140628-110804-40084578.jpgThe evening class at Studio Stitch is a great crew! I've had Nancy in class a few times and she's awesome! She's working from her stash while adding a few new things!

20140708-042213-15733187.jpgKathy's blocks are almost all Kaffe, with a few Kaffe inspired pieces added for good measure. They're such fun blocks!!

20140708-042317-15797051.jpgJustiann is using Joel Dewberry Modern Meadow! I love this line and she's working with the full range of the palette quite well. Gorgeous blocks!!

20140708-042423-15863735.jpgMarsha also caught Tula fever! Her blocks have tons of little hidden treasures in the fussy cuts! Great blocks!

20140708-042502-15902919.jpgJoanne started out with all Alison Glass fabric. But she wanted to get opinions on where to go from there. She added more traditional fabric in her third block, but has since decided to go all Alison Glass as with her first two blocks.

20140708-042528-15928443.jpgPamela's working from her stash! She has great fussy cuts and really wonderful little gems in there!!

20140708-042555-15955554.jpgBarbara joined the Tula train too! But she's added a good mix of other fabric. She's also already chosen and started attaching her sashing. She's my favorite! Love!!

20140708-042624-15984615.jpgNancy is working from similar fabrics and her blocks look wonderful! She did a really good job with having enough contrast in her blocks.

20140708-042653-16013705.jpgLydia's blocks look superb! She's considering forgoing the sashing and putting her blocks right next to one another. They are looking so good!
