Terrific Tip Tuesday: Backing Fabric

Buying fabric for a quilt back can be expensive! Whenever I see a good sale, I snag five yards of a fabric I love. I've found that five yards is usually enough and if I'm doing a little design, I can even back large quilts with five yards. I look for prints that are all over designs, not regimented. This way if my back is a little crooked, it won't show! I avoid stripes too!  I keep them seperate in my stash too! It's like free fabric when I find one that'll work. I know I technically bought it, but who remembers when?!xo LC
