Creating a Village
A few months ago, I joined Betz White's Lil Felt Village Club. Can you handle the cute?! This is my first house! Yes, that is a tiny little hobbit door with a stoop!!There are so many details. And the best part is that Betz is doing the class on an online platform with step by step directions. She has tons of information, including a stitch library with videos. I knew nothing of making tiny felt houses and she guided each step of the way!The second house is a flower shop with striped awnings. I was a mix of panic and awe when I saw it. But fear not, it all worked out! Here it is!!The little topiary on the side is my favorite!Betz has the course divided into seasons. The final house of Springville is a hexagon shaped house. It actually turned out to be my favorite one to make!We are just starting Summerville! I'm so excited for the next chapter. Betz created these adorable little beach shacks!! (Photo courtesy of Betz White.) I'm considering making them into mountain cabins. You can join the club anytime! I've been choosing my own colors but she also has kits available. There will be twelve houses at the end of the club, three per season. Here is my Springville competed!!I've really enjoyed having a slow hand stitched project. This project uses lots of supplies I already had on hand, which is nice. I don't worry about them being perfect. Wonkiness adds character!xx LCPS: This post contains affiliate links.
