Sew Pink: All Sewn Up Kit

Today is my stop on the Sew Pink blog hop! Annie, of byAnnie fame, has put together an amazing initiative to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and also remind everyone in the sewing and quilting community to stay on top of preventative care. When she first mentioned this hop, my mind immediately went to my sweet friend Tessa. She's a breast cancer survivor and one of my favorite sewing buddies. She's talented and hilarious which is my favorite combo. So I decided to make my project for her! It's my All Sewn Up Sewing Kit. It uses byAnnies Soft & Stable (and really doesn't work without it!) Soft and Stable is one of my favorite stabilizers. It makes your bag the perfect mix of soft...and stable. For this version, I used byAnnies lightweight mesh in lieu of the vinyl called for in the pattern. It's an easy stitch! I love how the mesh looks too.The pocket is made with some long hoarded fabric with an adorable sewing border. It's from Bunny's which is my go-to for fun unique Japanese prints.I will donate 30% of all online All Sewn Up Sewing Kit PDF sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation until the end of October.Be sure to check out all the Sew Pink information and other amazing projects here! xx LCThe #SewPink Initiative was created by ByAnnie.com LLC to raise awareness for breast cancer during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. They have pledged to raise funds to donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through sales and promote action through giveaways. For more information please visit their official #SewPINK information page here.To donate directly visit here.
