Daisy, the Queen of Quilting with Curves

My dear friend Daisy has a new book out called Quilting with Curves from C&T. If you don’t know Daisy, you need to stop reading and immediately* go over to Warmfolk and look at everything.

* immediately after you read my review that highlights her awesomeness

First off, a little background on Daisy and me. She recently came to teach at my guild, and while I had known her as part of the quilty world, I really got to know her while she was here. She is a delightful human! She is talented, creative and approachable. Stitching curves is not one of my favorite things in quilting. She has templates that make the process both enjoyable and accurate, which are two of my favorite things in quilting. If you ever have a chance to take one of her workshops, jump on it.

Now back to the book… it is the next best thing to live Daisy! It is PACKED with projects- twenty to be exact. That is a load of things to make!! And full of her clear and concise directions, tips and insights. You’ll leave with twenty more ideas of other things to make!

One of the things I love about Daisy is she offers both intricate projects and super approachable projects like this runner. It’s officially on my to-make list and looks like a fast finish.

Daisy also hits it out of the park with the more intricate designs. I love the mix of simplicity and her color choice. She plays with value and creates dynamic designs. This one makes me think of a picnic in Provence. (Not that I’ve ever been on a picnic in Provence!)

Here is another favorite! Working with just two colors, Daisy used curves to create half circles and circles in an interesting layout. Her book has me wanting to get out my templates and create! And the straight line quilting makes the pattern stand out.

Check out Daisy’s book here; it’s an affiliate link;) Check out Daisy here. Let’s all go stitch some curves!!
