Nebraska Bound: Day 1!
I left for Nebraska on Saturday morning. Technically, I left for Southern Pines. No need to consult a map, it is NOT on the way! I'm heading to Nebraska for the AccuQuilt Go! Retreat and the barn quilt unveiling. Two of my friends, Gail & Debbie are coming too!I was teaching the Swoon block at Linderella's before we officially head towards Nebraska!! I love this block and it's great fun to teach:) I had an awesome group! Pat chose some great Bonnie & Camille fabric, how fitting!! (Camille Roskelley designed both!)
And Carrie used batiks! One of her fabrics is ombré which produced a great effect.
And Jamie chose happy flowers!
Mary also used batiks! She's going to add some embroidery. It will be gorgeous!!
After class, I got to see lots of my favorite people! Cyndi and Missy stopped by; I met them at a retreat last year! And Michelle brought her animal quilt! I LOVE IT!
Then I hit the road!! I headed to High Point to pick up Gail! Debbie is flying...wimp;) And we were on the road by 4...woohoo!! Perfect timing! This is the exit for my house. Glad to be back where I started!
The mountains are gorgeous!! The drive on I-40 is so pretty in the Smokies!
We stopped in Asheville at The Cantina for a delicious dinner. Yumminess!! One of my favorite restaurants!
Spent the night in Crossville, TN. There are no pictures because it was a monsoon rain storm. The tale will continue tomorrow!xo LC
